watched a handful of movies over the last week or so. Finally got to catch The Guardian after William kept on talking about it during class. Haha, it's a great movie. so here are the movies that i've watched. =)

let's go by sequence then.

#1 Pan's Labyrinth
there's really nothing much to say for this, just watch it. It's amazing. If you look beyond the superficial level of the movie - the fairytale, there's actually a great contrast between a child and an adult. This movie explores both innocence and facism at the same time. It's interesting how something so scary - facism - can be weaved into a fairytale. Amazing movie. catch it if you havent gotten a chance to see it in the cinema then. The DVDs are out. =)

#2 The Holiday
Amazing amazing soundtrack. I'm not a huge fan of the legend Hans Zimmer but this is really good. Every track fits the movie perfectly in my opinion except for the really funny track by Imogen Heap in the middle of the movie. It's as if the dialogue triggered off the track. Watch and you'll know. It's always nice to catch something like this too. It is said to be the 'Love Actually' of 2006. Wanted to catch it last year but girl watched it before i asked her, so i could only watch when the DVD is out. The house in LA is amazing in the movie. Also, Jack Black was really nice in the movie too. =) Cameron Diaz is being her usual pretty self. Pretty comical how she changed through out the movie. From the time she was told to walk the road herself, to the part where she chose to run the road by herself. Touching =)

#3 The Guardian
Like i've said. If you're a lifesaver, you have to watch this. No doubt people have commented the excessively gay-like relationship between ashton and kevin in the movie but i think otherwise. It's a great movie. The very essence of saving lives. Sad to watch how things turn out in the end though.

#4 Idiocracy
Brainless. worth a laugh but not the money. Haha. watch it if you can but dont go out to buy it. I dont think it's worth the money. =)

#5 The Pursuit Of Happyness
Really really touching. It's been a while since i've seen such a great drama. It's out in the cinemas now so go catch it. =) Heard Will Smith's son in the movie is his actual son? But i've no clue.

Back to work tomorrow. results will probably be out this friday. Like how i'd always say. I dont need luck, i need a miracle. This time, i really mean it. I need a miracle.
