it's always funny how we talk to each other after we leave school. about a month ago, i saw nicholas near my workplace and we said hi, when we've never spoken to each other in our entire time in jc. about a week later, i saw that caucasian guy (was he swedish or something?) from my secondary school. took me 3 looks before i fully recognised him. seems to me that people don't talk to each other during their course of being together. there's some funfair going on at my jc this saturday. i'm not even sure if i want to go. we were made to buy the coupons on the last day of school, so, not going would mean wasting the coupons. then again, i kinda miss the campus and the people and fahizul wants to see the campus as well. so i may consider going. i really dont know. talking about my jc, it was on the newspaper yesterday and moe is giving them like $30k a year for some strange reason. i merely glanced at the article. nothing more than "podcast" caught my eye. haha. also, on sunday time's hotbods, i think that girl was from my school? that guy's... girlfriend. right? the volleyball one. i cant remember his and her name. zzz i'm as bad with names as ben.
in case you havent guessed yet, i'm in the office right now and the computer in my room is still not fixed because my dad doesnt want to buy me a new graphic card (which i think is the problem). so i guess it will take me at least 2 weeks before i get it up and running again. i'm not in favour of the "paying-for-myself" idea. but then again, i've worn out 3 graphic cards in the last year or so. dont even ask me why. blame it on AMD and those stupid MMORPGs. weekends are especially boring since i have nothing to do until evening where i will then stay rooted in front of the television. thankfully fahizul accompanied me to get clothes on saturday =) going out with him for 8hrs is as good as going to the gym for 2hrs. the same kind of abdominal muscles exercise.
chinese new year is like next weekend but i look forward to nothing except the money. i can totally see/hear the response that will come from fahizul. "materialistic bitch/superficial/etc." you get the jist. but i'm not even going to try to hide what i feel and attempt to act like a super CNY-lover who loves the atmosphere, the songs (i cannot fathom why people would enjoy them), the getting together, etc. Face it, 9 out of 10 people i know love the money and hate the gatherings. actually, come to think of it, i actually like the dinner too (no i do not like bak kua.) =) it's always nice to see how people spend more on the dinner. coming from an average income family, i get to eat abalone (well, not that i adore it) and shark's fin (same rule applies, but just for the record) during the new year and sometimes, during my parent's birthday celebration only. it's always interesting to see how the usual $50 (yes, in total, not per pax) per dinner goes up to $200. I know it may not be alot for alot of people but that's the way life works. haha you gain some, you lose some (may not apply for some people though).
will be meeting ben later but i've no idea how to get there. girl would know how wise i am when it comes to directions. haha trust me, as much as i hate to admit it, we took the bus in the wrong direction (the one i was damn-right sure was correct) for more than 15mins. i'm gonna figure a bus route soon. i'm not used to people walking pass me while i type this blog entry. i feel... intruded which really is ironic since i'll be posting this for more people to read. the best justification would be that i'm awfully strange. awfully reminds me of awfully chocolate. =/ as mentioned by my friends before, i make very very odd connections. =)
they're playing chinese music in the office. well, we're tuned in to some chinese radio station and they're playing chinese new year music. can you believe and understand the agony that i've to go through since i'm sitting like less than 1.5m away from the receiver (and yes, the speaker too)? zzz i dont understand why CNY must be noisy, loud and uncouth when christmas can be you know, jazzy and shit. you cant blame me for wanting to celebrate the new year with my favourite genre can you? but then again, dont get me wrong, i'm not a chinese-hater or a pure chinese who acts like i cannot speak chinese (or mandarin to be exact). in fact i love chinese. trust me when i say i read more chinese books than english ones in the last 2 years (yesyes, even if i minus the comics). it's strange how i miss chinese lessons. it's always the best. you either sit down to write an essay (well of course i wouldnt really be sitting), or read from the book. it's so predictable and it's always fun to listen to people (aka your classmates) speaking in chinese. i remember how the class used to make fun when chengyin spoke damn quickly, and when chelsea attempted to read the passages. and of course ivon was also damn funny but i'm sure now she speaks much much better chinese considering alot of factors i hate to list. haha. right i've to type a letter now. bye people. good morning, good afternoon and good night for the next few weeks. =) i'll be back soon! =)
