i know the previous post was supposed to be my last post before i enlist, but after thinking about how long i will not be able to use the computer (and also since i've nothing to do now), i decided to post another.

i dont know how am i going to survive without having the privilege to eat anything, any time i want. ): what am i to do when i have strange cravings in the middle of the night.
watched Smokin' Aces, Deja Vu, The Queen, Night At The Museum, Blood Diamond and The Holiday (again) over the last few days since i was stucked at home. Well, i have been sucking on Difflam these few days and hopefully the sore throat goes away before enlistment. How stupid it will be to go in camp, sick, already. Then again, i only have myself to blame. All those hazelnut pralines my sister got isnt helping my throat.
Well, off to watch The History Boys now. Ciao and good night. Catch me at Chinatown tomorrow. =) and say goodbye to freedom. Til then.

Pre-Enlistment Note

It's here, it's finally here. Five more days. On one hand, i can't want to get in, yet on the other, i'm afraid of the physical demands. I'm entering with a positive attitude nonetheless. I've somewhat prepared myself mentally to be yelled at. It's really quite strange come to think of it, but come what may. Come Friday the 13th. Come enlistment.

Spent quite alot in the arcades recently, thanks to a particular game. Haha but had lots of fun man. It's been a long time since i spent substantial amount in an arcade.

Photos from my short vacation as follows. I had no choice but to take a photo myself in one of the photos there because the sky was so irresistible as you can see. Besides, i was taking a morning stroll on my own. Trust me, my camera was only able to capture 30% of the beauty there. With the sound of the sea, the wind, the smell, and the silence. I would throne that place an ideal location for my burial. Then again, it's a tourism spot, so i guess it wont be long until my body gets dug out by some little kid who strolls the beach.

Supposed to meet my secondary school friends at 1030 today but i woke up at 1300. Not feeling too well myself and the mild eczema from my trip isnt really helping. Besides, the sunburnt i got isn't really an incentive to make me go to the beach. So there, my pre-enlistment post and i will be back soon i hope. I would probably not be bringing a phone to camp so, just drop me an email if you need me and i'll get back to you ASAP.

Goodbye Civillian Life in Five Days.
It's finally here, after almost 6 months of aimless civillian life.

Nobody Stands In Our Way.

this will probably be the last time i'm going to be blogging from work/office. last day at work. i know i'm going to miss this place. more importantly, i'm going to miss working with the people here! it's going to feel a little strange not seeing them at work again. after all, i've been seeing them for the last 4 months, every weekday. 2 more weeks to enlistment. working here has been a great time. i learnt alot during this period of time. here's what.

  1. i learnt the difference between an invoice, delivery order and purchase order.
  2. i learnt the difference between a receipt and the statement of accounts.
  3. i learnt how to calculate timecards (and i had alot alot of experience. (: )
  4. i learnt how to photocopy things like crazy (A4, A3, come what may).
  5. i learnt how to organise and file (something i havent been doing for the last 18 years).
  6. i learnt how to use microsoft excel.
  7. i learnt how to make coffee/tea.
  8. i learnt how to refill the water dispenser.
  9. i learnt how to fax.
  10. i learnt how to use a paper shredder (okay, not much instructions needed).
  11. i learnt what to do when i receive letters, fax, etc.
  12. i learnt how to deal with past year documents.
  13. i learnt how to connect an internet connection wirelessly.
  14. i learnt how to sort mails.
  15. i learnt how to accept deliveries.

Other valuable lessons include,

  1. I know how to hold my liquor better (after all that practise).
  2. I speak better hokkien.
  3. I have a larger range of swearing vocabulary.
  4. I learnt how to eat uni (sea urchin).
  5. I learnt how to order pizza (no, i havent done it before).
  6. I know where the good (and relatively cheap) food are!
  7. I know a lot of new places (quite similar as above?).
  8. I make better (and faster) decisions now.
  9. I'm VERY up to date with everyday's news (dont ask me why).
  10. I learnt how to listen to trance.
  11. I found out a little more about the difference between an auto car and a manual car.
  12. I realised that i can actually talk to people that are older than me (much better than people of my age).
  13. I learnt to be crazy at times (okay, i might already know this long ago. but more prominent now).
  14. I know a million companies now. Show me the company name and i can tell you what it does. (: and i'm proud of that.

I'll be gone soon. but i'm gonna come back to visit a week later because i wanna bring some gifts back. (: Okay, last post, byebye. Will blog from home soon.

Haha, but he couldnt exactly eat due to some reasons =) i was trying to disgust him when he was eating the er... thing. Exams tomorrow. Training tonight, and probably tomorrow morning. I want a break vacation soon. meeting the perfect eyesight (yes i'm still not over it even though it has been 6 years) person on thursday for dinner. hahaha. okay back to work now.

Last night was crazy. The five of us went to Waraku for dinner first. I finished half the Uni (Sea Urchin) there because everyone went like "order, order" and in the end, no one wanted to eat it! Haha, prawns, unagi, squid, etc. Great food but I was really full in the end. So i thought maybe they're going to go back after some walking, but I was wrong. Haha i got home only at 12.45am this morning (considering that I've to work). Went over to Post Bar at Fullerton after dinner for a Rusty Nail, a drink that was recommended to me by my godfather. Lots of funny things happened there. You know, i'm slowly being accustomed to Hokkien so dont be surprised if my blog posts have a sudden change in language. =) Wanted to go to Babyface and Club Momo but the former was too empty (which means no people watching) and the latter was closed. So we went to Dbl-O instead. Had a crazy time there. Spent 3hrs there i think. Or 2. Took damn long to complete a pool game, again. Drank shit loads. Couldnt even stand still when i was showering. Haha. Damn i still feel sleepy now.

Ben had a taste of my craziness over the phone last night, before i finally fell into deep slumber. =) deep deep deep.

Hell of a time. Twenty odd days more to go only.

I always like being in the car when the sky is really dark. Sometimes i wonder how does it feel to go topless (i dont mean it literally) in such a weather. Definitely not on a Hippo bus. Guys like us are a sucker for speed. I remember seeing this line on a book in Borders some time ago, 'The difference between a boy and a man is the price of their toys (I cant quote it exactly, but you get the drift)." When I was younger, i was easily pacified with a comic book, a toy car, an action figure toy, etc. Now that i'm older, i'm into the whole tech-toy craze. To tell you the truth, top on my wishlist (yes, I know I have a wishlist on the side, but I dont believe in it) now is the Nikon D80 which costs about $2,288. I might settle for a D40X (though it's not officially out here yet) though. I'd buy it now if I was 17 but the fact that I'm gonna enter ns in less than 25 days doesn't make it logical to buy and keep it. Talking about age, I feel old being 19 this year. Where did the uniformed days go to? Sure i'm gonna have a fair share of uniformity (pun intended) in the next two years to come, but it's not going to be the same.

Did my local university applications two nights ago but I doubt I'll be selected for what I want. Was on the phone with Ben a couple of nights ago and he made an interesting comment that I thought I'd never hear from him. Being the crazy person that he is, I never ever thought he would actually tell me that I'm "the kind that wants to choose the course because I'd only study if i get what i wanted". I guess two years of friendship is enough to see that coming. Hahaha. He's right though. Most probably I'd head to Adelaide to do a degree there, and I'd be closer to Ivon though she'd probably not be there after 2 years. Sem would be near there though =) It's gonna be quite fun. Damn i kinda miss having her around. Classes were actually fun.

Going out with my colleagues tonight again. =)

Took close to 2hrs to fall asleep last night. Okay, partly ben called when i was about to fall asleep. Hahah asked me about xinling's birthday. that girl is really weird man. like she barely speaks in class/school last time (she barely even comes), and yet she can call and tell me she saw me at city hall. i'm not talking about a... "hello mark? i saw you. (hangs up)" kind of conversation. the conversation lasted... 8minutes? she was asking me to find her, but i didnt in the end. hahah. stayed out til almost 4am with izwan the other day. =) we were sitting along the merlion area and that entire view there is going to change in just 2 years. new hotels, casinos, the ferris wheel, shopping centres, condominiums, etc. and there is where i want to work at. =)

my colleague is seriously strange. she keeps talking to me about university admissions and my ns status, etc.

damn. i feel sleepy at 1pm already. it's only half a day.
zzz.
mock exam this week. i'm more worried for this than the a levels. zzz.
